Ready to dive into the world of theatre and unleash your creativity?
This October half-term, Theatre Porto is running Technically, Creative – a free project for young people aged 12-18. It is a chance to explore theatre technology in a fun and creative way.
In the workshops, participants will use lighting, sound design, video and set design to create an immersive installation – a strange “other world” for audience members to explore.
Past projects have taken us to an apocalyptic mushroom world, and a landscape of dreams. This time, the theme is The Unseen. Together, we will explore whispers, echoes, spirits and essences. The group will think about the hidden things that surround us every day and those things that exist in our imaginations. We’ll explore sounds we can’t usually hear, shadows that pass unnoticed, or feelings that are hard to describe. Using theatre technology, we will find ways to bring these invisible and mysterious elements to life.
Technically, Creative is about imagination and teamwork, as well as learning new skills. It is a welcoming project, a place to meet others, build confidence, and create something unique.
Dates: 27th, 28th, 29th October
