We want our venue to be a creative hub for artists, educators and others who want to develop ideas and collaborate. We regularly create projects and initiatives which aim to both further practice and support individual artists’ with their work at whatever the stage of development.  This includes: 

• The offer of two artist residencies each year, where companies/artists are invited to make Theatre Porto their home for a while, using our space and resources for their own work or enquiry
• Our collaborating with other companies/artists who want to develop work for, by and with children and young people – sometimes for the first time.
• Supporting others to connect with schools and young people to try new ways of working
