Cheshire West Community and Voluntary Arts Awards

The Cheshire West Community and Voluntary Arts Awards shine a spotlight on the people and projects making a difference through the arts.
At the start of the year we called for nominations for inspiring projects, organisations, leaders, and volunteers who bring creativity to life across local communities.
On Monday 16 March together we will be celebrating those nominations in music, theatre, visual arts, or other arts initiatives. Six awards will recognise projects and people that make art accessible, meaningful, and transformative across Cheshire West.
Award presentations will be interspersed with some fantastic performances and a film from:
– Patchwork Choir – an inclusive, uplifting choir for adults with additional needs that meet weekly at Live! Cheshire.
– When we meet… 5 dances – a film extract from Cheshire Dance’s, Wanna Dance? project, that explores dance as a sensory, non-verbal language with participants with Profound Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities.
– Dee Sign Choir – one of the original signing choirs in the UK perform our finale.
Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network (CWVAN ) is running the Awards event. CWVAN aims to support, promote and advocate for Voluntary Arts organisations and their activities across the Borough.
The awards are supported by Cheshire West and Chester Council and Cheshire West Voluntary Action through a grant from the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund.
Theatre Porto is an accessible space. Please let us know if you have any access requirements and we will try to support your attendance.
