Theatre Porto – Home Cooked with Love

At Theatre Porto, we believe in the power of theatre to spark joy, deepen understanding and to build community. We strive to make our venue a welcoming home for everyone: a place where people can gather, play and create.

We are especially proud to have recently become the UK’s first dedicated children’s theatre of sanctuary for our commitment to providing a place of safety, welcome, and celebration for refugees and asylum seekers, especially families, children and young people.

This November, we are delighted to be hosting our 3rd, Home Cooked with Love — a free, family-friendly event that brings people together for food, art, music, and connection.

Designed in collaboration with local families and community groups, Home Cooked with Love invites everyone, especially families seeking sanctuary, to come together in a welcoming environment and enjoy being at our inspiring cultural venue.

At Theatre Porto, we want all children, young people and families in our communities to feel valued and included and we celebrate the positive contributions of people from other countries that make our community richer and more vibrant.
