Theatre Porto and Teatro Pomodoro present
Star of Wonder

Ages: All
A seasonal show for everyone
A group of travelers, in their trusty shopping trolley, follow a star. They fall-out, get lost, overcome obstacles and finally find what they are looking for.
‘Relaxed by design’ and not adaptation, Star of Wonder is an original, child-centered show with minimal text, performed by a diverse cast of international and learning disabled / neurodiverse performers.
About the show
Made by Theatre Porto in co-production with Teatro Pomodoro with the ideas of children from local primary schools. Star of Wonder is full of clowning, physical theatre and animation.
Star of Wonder was presented at Theatre Porto as our first winter season show in Dec 2022 and remounted for the Unity Theatre in Dec 2024.

“We had a mixed family group from 3 to 57 years old. We all loved it. It was at just the right pitch for a 3 year old girl and a 9 year old boy, and that is hard to achieve considering the age difference”

“It was so inclusive, we brought pupils who have SEND and EAL and all pupils were able to enjoy it”
