Technically, Creative:
The Transmission Tower

What can a tower transmit?
In this one-day Technically, Creative taster session, participants aged 13+ will work together to build a large cardboard tower, then use it to transmit words, images, voices and ideas.
As the tower grows, we’ll experiment with cardboard construction, printing, painting, collage, lighting, green screen, sound design, video editing and projection mapping using Adobe After Effects and QLab. It will be a fun, hands-on day of making, experimenting and seeing where our ideas take us.
By the end of the day, the tower will become a shifting display of print, projected animation, light and sound. Families are invited to see what we’ve created at the end of the session.
No previous experience is needed, just an interest in making things, trying out technology and working as part of a creative team.
This one-day session is a taster for Technically, Creative which returns as a full four-day project at Easter.
