The Moon Garden

Step into another world this winter at The Moon Garden, a free outdoor installation on Theatre Porto’s back terrace, inspired by the magical world of Goofus Theatre’s production MOONSMILE.
As a gift to Ellesmere Port, Theatre Porto invites families to discover a surprising, strange and mesmerising moon-inspired landscape, tucked away behind our venue in Whitby Park.
Featuring a large, luminous moon, spheres of light and a mysterious moon-crater. The Moon Garden offers a gentle invitation for families to slow down, be-in-wonder together, and rediscover what makes this time of year special.
The Moon Garden opens on Tuesday 1 December and runs until Wednesday 23 December, during café opening hours, with special evening openings around selected performances of MOONSMILE.
Please note that this is self led – activity, children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. We reserve the right to pause entry at busy times to ensure visitors comfort and safety. Donations are warmly welcomed and will help us continue to create free and accessible work for families.
