‘Topsy Turvy’ is back for 2024 – Save The Date!
Theatre Porto’s spectacular arts celebration returns to Whitby Park in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire…
Get ready for an unforgettable experience with Theatre Porto as we bring you ‘Topsy Turvy 24‘ this August. Prepare to be amazed by a weekend filled with brilliant performances and special events, curated especially for children, young people, and local families.
Set against the backdrop of Theatre Porto, the amphitheatre, and the awesome outdoor space that is Whitby Park, ‘Topsy Turvy 24‘ promises a diverse lineup featuring circus acts, family-friendly gigs, mesmerizing dance, puppetry, film, installation, and, of course, breathtaking performances.
We’ll showcase artwork from local communities, schools, and Theatre Porto’s drama droplets group, who will be conducting the ‘opening ceremony’ to Porto’s amazing Hobby-Horse Showjumping Competition!
We will also be working with Ellesmere Port Collective to showcase young musical talent and foster a vibrant music community in our area. This includes live DJ sets and family jams in the Café at Theatre Porto and on our beautiful terrace.
‘Topsy Turvy 24‘ follows several years of our summer outdoor arts programme in Whitby Park and promises to be a great celebration of creativity, community, inspired by children and young people. Mark your calendars and join us for a weekend of wonder and excitement. General admission is FREE, some indoor performances will be ticketed and there will be a variety of ‘Pay What You Like’ options.
Further details about the programme of events, early-bird tickets, and what we have in store will be announced in the coming weeks and months.
Don’t miss out on this extraordinary family event – we can’t wait to see you there! 😊
