The Sunday Takeover

Dates 14th July, 18th August, 1st September, 29th September
Time 2pm – 5pm

Does your child or young person experience disability and/or neurodivergence? Come and visit Theatre Porto on a Sunday afternoon whilst we are closed to the public, but specifically open for families with those children who need a space to relax, play and engage with their creative and sensory sides.   

The Sunday Takeover offers a place where Children and Young People who identify as disabled or neurodivergent are welcomed to play, explore and create in a more relaxed environment.  

Our front of house spaces will be open for children and families to explore at their own pace with some relaxed activities such as a mini-library, craft, games, toys and sensory activities. As well as just being a space to hang out and get comfortable in our venue.   

We at Theatre Porto understand that all Children and Young People are different, and some may need to engage in activities in different ways, or at different levels, therefore we endeavor to do our best to offer different opportunities.  

During Sunday Takeovers the cafe will be closed so please feel free to bring your own food and drink- whatever is most suitable for your young person. There will be tea and coffee available to help yourselves.
